I Am That!

Dr Suresh Sreedharan

I fondly remember the moments of immense light that shone through the bright eyes and smile of Swami Muni Narayana Prasad during my visit to the Gurukulam in February 2026.

I had first visited Swami nearly 15 years ago. During that visit, he called me in, and I was surprised to find that he was taking a bath in a bathtub. Yet, he continued speaking with me throughout, later dressing and sitting down with me for tea.

I still vividly recall Swami asking the profound question, “Who am I?” and elaborating on its vastness and inclusiveness. Even today, I find myself contemplating this question amidst my daily duties. Incidentally, my daughter is getting married next week, on 4th June 2026.

We all perform our duties, and they are essential as part of the universal urge. Yet, knowing “Who am I?” brings a sense of wonder to my psychosomatic being and evokes a deep, underlying joy of existence. I Am That!

I am the I am. What am I ? ThenWho am I ? He8 asked me late at the evening. I was puzzled ,why he asked me ...lately knowing that he asked me pretty to know his friends son in law is good or bad.
